March 27th- Two Steps Forward. One Step Back.

Bill has been doing so well, relatively speaking. The surgery area was healing well until……. the bile bag accidentally got caught on a hard surface and pulled at the incision. OUCH! Now he is back to square one. Healing all over again and taking the pain medicine. The new plan is to wait until Friday to see how he is doing.
Two plans are in motion.
1.Contact Loyola to see if they will accept him for a transplant.
2. University of Chicago oncology team is checking with their transplant team to see if he can be accepted there.

Bill will remain on the clinical study drug while he heals and the transplant process is coordinated. More on that later when we know which hospital will accept him.
Praise the Lord, we aren’t there yet, but we are getting closer.

Wrap that man up in cotton batting so nothing else happens! Tubes are such a pain........literally!
They're always where you don't want them.......

Hoping to hear some good news when I get back from Pennsylvania...........
Love, Karen

2 steps forward, one back - we are still a step ahead!! YEAH!! My math skills haven't failed me yet! I'm in agreement - But I think bubble wrap would be more entertaining - and would give all of you something to do when things get boring, like that ever happens!

Love hearing good news - does my heart and soul well. God is a wonderful tour guide - we just have to follow His lead.

Thanks for your updates - they really help those of us not able to physically be with both of you.

Love, prayers, and good health,
Gail

Good news!!! Two steps forward- we must be P.U.S.H.ing in the direction of that listening ear.

Make sure you mark the bubble wrap. "Handle with care"

Thinking of you and praying often

Saw Laura yesterday. She looks great. So glad you are going forward. I'm so thankful that you are able to control the pain. Now, Nurse Nancy. Take care of yourself. Take advantaage of the sitters. David and I are still Pushing as hard as we can.
We love you both.

We will all continue to P.U.S.H. but no more steps backward. I wanted Tennessee to send Louisville home but it didn't happen. Give Bill a hug for me and take care of Nurse Nancy also. I don't know how you are going back and forth to home and hospital so much. God really has his arms around you.

Love to all,
Mary Jo
