November 3- Events of the weekend

Bill is dong well.....considering all that is going on.
Friday he received another chemo injection to the Ommaya Reservoir and had no side effects. Amen. He will have about 3 more of these injections this month, once a week.

Bill goes back to Loyola Hospital on Wednesday for 4-5 consecutive days of chemo treatments. They told him this will be very intense and they will monitor him closely. He will stay overnight for this coming session. Recovery will be at home and it will take 14-20 days for his blood counts to return to normal. He will also receive a bone marrow biopsy this Wednesday to review the mutated white cell count in his bone marrow. This is because of the Leukemia Cutis rash that had developed on his body.

We are getting ready to make the decision on a bone marrow transplant. Not only whether or not to do it, but at what hospital. We ask for your prayers this month. We need guidance from the Lord to make the right decisions, acquire the knowledge needed, talk to the right people, and have doors open for us. This is a tough decision, and I'm asking Jon (our son) to join us during the information gathering process.

On a lighter note. We had a wonderful visit with Kari, Jeff and Andrew. Bill was having a good weekend, and having a baby in the house is delightful. Jeff was a wonderful help getting the patio furniture put away for the winter, raking, mowing, and cleaning gutters. It was a great weekend to work outside. Jeff works for food if you need him.
I'll write again in a few days. We are hoping for an uneventful week.

We are glad that you had a good weekend. There is nothing like family, especially with a grandchild, to allow you to have a good time.

It looks like a tough week ahead of you. Just stay focused and don't lose your faith. You can do this!

We will return to Michigan this week to meet the movers and get our things moved out to Arizona. There is no computer there anymore, but we will keep track of your progress anyway.

Remember that we think about you all the time.

Love,
Pam and Jeff

Never a dull moment! You know the Hubers can never do anything the easy way. We all have to find our own individualized way to the solution. We will all be praying for direction.

No better medicine than babies - they have a tendency to put life in perspective - eat, sleep, poo and pee! Now that is important!!

Keep us posted - hopefully direction will be found in the most advantageous way!

Love, prayers, and good health!

In the world of medicine I have found there are sometimes too many questions and not enough answers. The Lord always works in mysterious ways, and I know His hands will work on the family. Gather your knowledge carefully. You have a huge family that is backing whatever decision needs to be made. May Uncle Bill be strong and hopeful in this next round of chemo.

Thinking and Praying for you often,
Elizabeth and Brian

Isn't great to have babies around. The pictures you sent were priceless.

Life's decisions are never easy and I am sure we will all be praying extra to help you go in the direction God has meant. Gail is right. We, Hubers, never do anything the easy way.

Our thoughts and prayers are always with you.

Love, Paula and Jim

Bill and Nancy,

Whether or not you do the bone marrow transplant is a big decision, but it seems that once you decide, things always seem to work out for the best. You've come so far and become so knowledgeable that I don't think you can make a bad decision! I'll be thinking of you both and hoping that extra strength comes your way.

The pictures of Maggie and Andrew are priceless. They definitely have good genes!

Bill, keep up the good work resting, exercising, and getting better. While the upcoming week looks difficult, I know you're up to the challenge!

Thinking of you,
Janet and John

Uncle Bill and Aunt Nancy,
I am continuing to pray. Please remember whatever decisions you make your family will stand behind you with continued love and support.
Praying you much hope and love,
Melissa

PS
Finally!!! Pictures of Andrew.
I better watch out he's going to be taller than me by age 5. I'm thinking he'll be taller than Grandma by age 3. Uncle Bill it was nice to see pictures of you smiling too:)

Nancy and Bill,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Decisions are really difficult...the wondering whether you have considered everything. It sounds like you are getting great medical advice and once you've decided just know you have made the best decision.
The babies are precious. Know you enjoyed passing Andrew around.
Love and prayers....Judy and Dave
