Update From Bill - 9/10/07

Hello all,

I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. I am humbled everytime I read your encouraging remarks and thoughts.

Day 5 of chemo has been similar to the last 4. Still waiting for my hair to fall out - though why that should be a big event for me is still a great unknown.

The days and nights are long but your support gives me great strength and makes the time pass quickly.

Just taking it one day at a time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as yours are with me.

Bill

Hello and God's blessing to both of you. Just wanted to tell you that you are so very close in my heart and I pray for you often during the day and night. Stay strong in the Lord. Reach as high as you can for Him, and He will reach down the rest of the way to you. Take care, Judy Shotts

Isn't technology wonderful! This is such a good thing for those of us far away but living with your challenge on a daily basis! I spoke to a friend of mine who said her brother-in-law who was diagnosed with AML a few years ago and just finished a whatever mile bicycle ride to Washington DC. She said for you to keep your spirits high - that was the best medicine!
In our thoughts and prayers,

Good Morning Bill - glad to see that you are blogging so you must be getting some energy back. When you are ready for some male enhancement drugs let me know. Becky must have turned my name in to the folks that sell that stuff because I get at least 10 messages a day. I will try them out and send you the one that works best.

Bill, being bald *is* the new sexy look. Sheesh, what you'll do to stay in fashion! It was great to hear from you via your blog. John and I wish you all the best and think of you often. Let me know when you come home and are up for some chicken soup!

Well this is a first for me, had to get help to figure out how to blog, but how wonderful! What a great way to hear from you, and you from us. I was so very glad to hear the encouraging report from Nancy.. and love the great picture of the kids.
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers so often.
Keep up the fight,
Love Pat L.

Bill,
Brenda and I think of you daily and you're in our every prayer. We miss the Friday or Saturday night dinners but, rest assured, we will be doing those again soon. Anxiously awaiting for us to play golf soon, but don't expect any strokes! Stay strong, my friend and know you are in the prayers and thoughts of many people. We will continue to check on you through Nancy. I miss talking to you especially with SEC football underway.

I appreciate all the kudos for setting up the Blog, but the REAL technological marvel is that Mom and Dad have 2 blogs and a Gmail account!!! Hopefully, they are up to the challenge to feed the website with fresh information because I (and others) are visiting early and often for updates.

It's also nice to see all the people supporting Dad in his fight.

Dad, keep up the good work.

-Jon

Bill,

Terry told me about your condition today. I want to send my best wishes to you for a speedy recovery and long term health. I know there must be some way to blame this on coal dust or global warming.

Get well soon.

Bill and Nancy,
Just a quick note to send my best wishes and prayers. I hated to hear about the C-Diff. My father-in-law had that twice and it was no fun for him. But being in a private room and no chatty roommate (or chatty spouse) can be a nice thing. Bill and I are thinking of you daily and praying for a good recovery -- however long it takes. Take care, Barbara
